Photo essay: Travel to 7 countries for 7 days

If you have 7 tickets that give you chances to go anywhere you want, where would you go? In my case, I want to travel to Australia, Spain, Turkey, The USA, Italy, France and England. I guess all of you are familiar with these wonderful countries. But, is there anybody who traveled to these countries for a week? If there is no one, ready to do right now. I will invite you to my imagination to travel 7 countries or 7 days.

Opera house in Australia

On first day, why don’t we go to Australia? In Australia, we can see the opera house which is representative landmark in Australia and the beautiful beach and smell of delicious foods. We are drinking lemonade or orange juice instead of wine while we are sitting on the soft sand. The beverage we are drinking tastes sweet and sour. It is very quiet and relaxed, and sometimes we hear the sound of waves crashing to the beach. How wonderful it is!

Sagrada Familia in Barcelona

On second day, we are in Spain, which is very far from Australia you went first day. We are taking pictures of fantastic scenery of Sagrada Familia and praising for its beauty. We can hear the tourists talking how much it is amazing. We are eating some pieces of bread. It is yummy enough to make us cheerful. Also we can hear the joyous traditional music in Spain. Due to its fast and light beats, we are dancing on the street.

Chewy and sticky Turkish ice cream

From Spain to Turkey we are eating chewy and sticky Turkish ice cream. It is first time to see the performance to sell ice cream. The people who are seeing the nice performance are laughing happily. When seller plays a trick with ice cream, we can smell of sweet and delicious ice cream. Finally, the seller gave ice cream to the boy who was waiting for his ice cream. He looks so happy. Also se fell great to see him smiling with eat delicious food in fantastic place.

"Welcome to Disney land in the USA!"

Now, we are in the USA which is the fourth country to visit. “Welcome to Disney land!” Mickey mouse is greeting us, while he is smiling. We fell that we became young kids. We are eating tasty chocolates and candies that make us fell happy. We can smell of these sweets. Everyone is excited to ride roller coaster. Famous Disney songs are played, and cute characters in Disney movie are dancing with the music. The dream we dreamed when we were young came true!

Italian food: Spagetti

After we ate some sweets, how about eating the food that makes you full? In Italian restaurant, after we ordered spaghetti and pizza, we are chatting with each other and drinking coke. Sparkles are all over my mouse. We see the amazing fire show and smell pizza baking. The weather is little hot today. But coke we are drinking is cool. Finally, the chief bring spaghetti and pizza that look delicious. While we are eating, we can hear the sound of fire show. It’s making noise, but it’s quite fun.

Eiffel Tower in Paris, France

Did you have fun in Italy? Then, let’s travel to Paris, France. Everyone is taking pictures in front of the tall tower, called Eiffel Tower. We can hear the people snap off. And sometimes they admire the beauty of Eiffel Tower that is full of wonder. We are drinking cold water to solve our thirst. We fell great to see this wonderful tower.

Rain in England

Finally, we moved from France to England. It’s rainy. So, it’s cool and windy. That’s why we can see the colorful umbrellas and hear the sound of rain. We are walking around downtown. Everyone is moving quickly and looks busy. We are little sensitive because of the weather. Even though the weather is not good, we are happy enough to be together in great place.

Now, we left England and came back to our home country. If the place you live in is one of 7 countries we traveled this time, I’m sorry to hear that. However, I want you to fell good to be invited to my imagination. Please don’t forget these countries: lovely Australia, hopeful Spain, nice Turkey, the exciting USA, enjoyable Italy, Beautiful France, fantastic England. Please invite me to your imagination next time. I’m very thankful to you for enjoying our travel.

Mao's last dancer

Review: Mao's Last Dancer

Few days ago, class 21 watched a movie “Mao’s last dancer”. I don’t know the genre of this movie exactly, but I guess It’s drama because the main character is growing in so many hard situations. Of course, like many students’ opinions, the movie shows romance of the main character named Li Cunxin and his girlfriend. But I think the movie is  focus on how  Li is growing. Then, let me introduce the plot of movie and my opinion.

The main character named Li Cunxin is the sixth child of peasant parents. He was selected as one of the ballet dancers who will be educated t Beijing, and he had to be separated with his family. When he went to Beijing art school, he was not good ballet dancer, and he was not interested in ballet. However, teacher Chan thought Li can be nice ballet dancer. So he encouraged Li to dance. His encouragement made Li think the story he heard from his father.

“There was a frog in the well. The frog knew the well only. One day, a toad told that a frog can see bigger world if it jumps.”

Li was inspired by reminding this story. But, suddenly, teacher Chan was investigated as counter of revolution because he made a mistake. Chan gave the video that show famous ballet dancer’s performance to Li before he left. Also the singer in the video inspired Li. Li practiced everyday to be a great dancer. Finally when Ben, who is manager of ballet team, came to Beijing from the USA, Ben wanted to bring Li to his team. It was the chance to become successful dancer. Of course, Li went to the USA and became famous as a ballet dancer. Also he met Elizabeth who is American girl in the USA. But his happiness didn’t continue, as he had to leave the USA. Chinese government made him came back to China. However, if Li gets married with Elizabeth, he didn’t need to leave the USA. So, he chose the life as a ballet dancer and Elizabeth’s husband instead of the life as the sixth child of peasant parents.

Amazingly, this story is true story. The ballet dancer in Australia with his wife. I was surprised at there is ballet dancer who has same experience with Li in the movie. Also I was very impressed by the story about the frog in the well. I don’t know what it says exactly. But I just felt that I am on a situation that the frog is on. When I came to KMLA, everything is new for me. And I was surprised at everything around me. I thought that I was the frog in the well on the first day in KMLA. And like Li, I will do my best to jump and see the big world.

However, I don’t like Li’s decision to stay in the USA. He chose his own life with his wife, and abandoned his parents. His parents couldn't see him dancing on a stage. I think Li knew that his parents miss him very much. But he decided to stay in the USA and promised to do not go to China anymore. I think his decision show his selfishness. If I were Li, I would go back to China. Then, I will be remembered as a great ballet dancer by American and live in China with my family. So Li is not my favorite character in this movie, even though he is main. My favorite character is teacher Chan who inspired Li. In my life, my parents inspire me like teacher Chan. They encourage me always and communicate well. Sometimes, they tell their experiences or stories to me like Li’s father. So I am thankful to them always.

Anyway, I like this movie because it shows Li growing. Li was in many hard situations. And finally, Li met his parents happily. I recommend to you this romantic, dramatic movie. I’m sure that you can be inspired by this.
